InterSystems’ Australian Software Partners TrakHealth and Replica Data Security Win Consensus Software Awards
Judges find TrakHealth a “surprisingly flexible and innovative solution” for health providers while Replica Backup was “a standout in a highly competitive field”
Sydney, Aust. — May 2, 2006. InterSystems Corporation today announced that two of its independent Australian software partners, Sydney-based TrakHealth and Gosford-based Replica Data Security, were among the 15 highly innovative winners of the 2006 Consensus Software Awards.
Both TrakHealth and Replica Data Security developed their innovative and award-winning software applications using InterSystems CACHÉ post-relational database and development technologies.
The Consensus Software Awards honour excellence and innovation and are sponsored by Microsoft and endorsed by Austrade, DCITA and the Australian Computer Society.
“Judging of the 2006 Awards was conducted by over 40 industry experts who judged each product on its own merits and are allowed to confer as many awards as they wish,” said Terry Insley, director of programs of Consensus.
TrakHealth won a Consensus Software Award for its TrakCare Web-based, patient-centric healthcare information system used by leading healthcare organisations in a growing number of countries around the world.
According to the Consensus Awards Judges’ Citation: “TrakHealth is a surprisingly flexible and innovative solution to the business problems encountered by many health providers. TrakHealth not only brings information together to satisfy functional requirements but also allows the individual user to tailor the way it is delivered. Perhaps the most important benefit that the solution offers is how quickly an organisation can have the operational electronic Patient Record (ePR ) they are striving for.”
According to the Judges’ Citation, Replica Data Security won a Consensus Software Award for, “Replica Backup, an innovative product for data backup, security and collaboration [which] proved to be a standout in a highly competitive field. By using a database approach to backing up data tied in with strong encryption, it allows IT systems big and small to more closely align their backup strategy with their user's needs and make better use of local and distributed IT resources. Its early wins against established competitors in the market proved its potential while its developers have managed to establish multiple performance features in server utilisation, data security, virus neutralisation, laptop security, backup efficiency and price. With successes both in Australia and overseas, this is a top solution in a difficult and competitive marketplace and is well worth serious evaluation.”
