INTERSYSTEMS ISSUES CHALLENGE TO AUSTRALIA’S
SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS FOR SECOND YEAR RUNNING

Take the CACHÉ Challenge and Enter Draw to Win $2000 Cash

Sydney, Australia, January 18, 2006
– InterSystems is throwing out a challenge to Australia’s software development community for the second year running, this time giving software developers the chance to win $2000 in cash.

The leading database provider in healthcare, InterSystems develops and markets the CACHÉ post-relational database and Ensemble universal integration platform.

This year InterSystems is challenging Australia’s software developers to learn CACHÉ in a fast-paced 2-hour tutorial that results in the creation of a working application.

“Whether developers win or lose in the cash for CACHÉ challenge draw, they’ll all be winners by gaining a new and highly marketable development skill,” said Denis Tebbutt, Managing Director for InterSystems in Australia.

“Quite frankly, we believe many Australian software developers fail to deliver to their potential, and are less rewarded financially as a result, because the software development environments they use are holding them back,” said Tebbutt.

InterSystems’ fast-paced CACHÉ tutorials allow developers to continue to develop in .NET, Java, C++ or SQL with the additional benefits of CACHÉ including:
• Robust objects + robust SQL, for rapid development with no object-relational mapping;
• The power of a post-relational database and RAD environment;
• Lightning-fast speed with multidimensional engine;
• Massive scalability on minimal hardware.

Developers who submit the completed tutorial application project by 1pm on 13 February 2006 will go in a draw to win $2000 in cash.
